Lairon College Preparatory Academy

Lairon College Preparatory Academy is proud to be one of 13 schools in the Franklin -McKinley School District. Formerly known as Seven Trees Elementary School, our campus was renamed in the 2010–2011 school year to honor Daniel Lairon, a former principal whose leadership and dedication made a lasting impact on both our school and the surrounding community.
With over four decades of history, our campus was modernized in 2000 to better support student learning. Renovations included updated classrooms, an enhanced main office, and improved cafeteria facilities, creating a more welcoming and functional environment for students and staff.
Lairon College Preparatory Academy serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade and is supported by a dedicated team of 27 classroom teachers. Our staff includes a principal, two speech therapists, a student support specialist, Behavior interventionists, therapeutic counseling and a resource specialist teacher. In addition, our instructional support team includes 30 para-professionals serving inclusion classrooms, two para-professionals supporting our therapeutic special day class, and one para-professional dedicated to our resource program.
We are committed to implementing BEST practices that foster a positive, inclusive school culture where students are recognized and rewarded for meeting expectations. As a community school, we actively partner with families and community organizations to ensure every student is supported in reaching their highest potential.
Guided by the policies and vision of the Franklin-McKinley School District, Lairon College Preparatory Academy is dedicated to ensuring the success of all students.
